F.A EXPLAIN DECISION ON BANNING U8 KIDS FOOTBALL

Yeah! Right! Wouldn't that be something.
Wouldn't it be nice to read of a decision made that all the people want, rather than one that just the people in charge want.
The Members of this club have been absolutely amazed by this decision. One member said, " I am really angry at this. Their are so many kids around the county that just can't wait to get selected for a team and pull on their first Club shirt. The joy on their faces when they do that is a pleasure to see for the parents and also the coaches and managers. Our club run a Nursery with kids expecting to be put in to teams as from May of this year. They are all going to have to be told that they will have to wait yet another year before they can do so. The heartache is going to be tremendous. I have been telling parents and kids about this already and the first response always is WHY?  I can't tell them the answer. I can only imagine that this decision has been made by the same sort of do-gooders that ban Christmas Nativity plays in our Schools and Sports Days events where God forbid there might be winner and a LOSER. We need to allow our kids the experience of finding out how to lose and indeed how to win! They need to have this experience and the earlier in life the better. These decision makers need to see the joy on the faces of kids when their team score a goal. Maybe then they would think twice before taking their dreams away from them."
Why not E mail the FA and let them know your thoughts!!!

Mini Soccer Referees Courses

PARENTS/COACHES

Did you know you can become a qualified mini soccer Referee without having to sit the full Referee's course?

Bedfordshire F.A. run a one evening course at a cost of £15 per person, which qualifies you to referee in mini soccer matches. I know, you don’t have to be qualified, but wouldn’t it be better to be confident that your every decision was the right one according to the rules. Not every Club can provide a fully qualified Referee to officiate in their matches, but there is no excuse for not having a mini soccer qualified referee on all of your games.

If you would like to attend one of these courses, or you are a Club official and want to get someone from your Club qualified, then contact Chris Checketts at the Beds F A to book or for more information.

Luton Borough Football Club was formed in 1989, originally as a single Youth team under the name Dragons Youth. The name change came as the profile of the Club grew, and links were formed with Luton Borough Council to develop a club which represented all sections of the local community. The Club now has teams representing all ages from 6 years old to seniors, boys, girls, men & women. In addition to the established teams the Club has a Youth Development and Coaching department, working in the local community to bring as many people as possible into sport, improve facilities, and make football accessible to all. We also run a Nursery for kids from reception age to Year two giving them Coaching, Experience but most of all Fun. Luton Borough Football Club is based within the grounds of Luton Regional Sport Centre, at the Stopsley Common Sport Club, a multi sport development project in partnership with Luton Borough Council.
