Round Our Teams
Sat/Sun 12/13thDecember
The U8 Whites beat Sundon Athletic 8-2 at home this week but the Blues unfortunately lost
5-3 to Crawley Comets after being 2-0 up as well. This happens in junior football though when you have to change the team
round a bit to get all the players a game. In general the eights are doing very well this season. The U9 Blues won 3-2 at
home to St Josephs and went clear of them in the league but are in the bottom half. The U9 Whites played the U9 Reds and won
a hard fought 2-1 victory to cement their mid table position. The Reds are second from bottom. The U10 Whites lost 4-1 at
home to Bushmead Rovers and lost the chance to go above them in the table. In to the Youth section and the
U17's got a 3-3 draw at Studham. This is the first point for both these teams at the bottom. The U16a team went to bottom
club Dunstable Town and claimed all the points with a 3-1 win and they are now third from bottom. The U15's lost heavily
at Sundon Pk Rangers and have paid the price for not having the commitment from some of their new players this season. So
much so that it has been decided to withdraw the team from the league which is a great shame for the players who did really
want to play every week. On a better note the U14a team won 5-0 at Luton Utd and are now in second place. The U14b team lost
3-0 at second bottom club Memorial Park. The U13's lost 2-0 at Houghton Regis and are third bottom and the U12b team won
2-0 at Leighton Utd and are in a fight between the top thre teams in the division. The U11's won 3-1 at home to Bedford
and are second in the league. The U12 Sat team drew 2-2 at home to Clophill and stay second in the division.

Average week for Borough. Starting with the Youths, the U17's lost 3-1 at home to top
side Watling and are second from bottom in the league. The U16a team lost 1-0 at second placed Dunstable Town Icknield and
are second bottom. The U14a went to Bedford Town and won 2-1 and are in second place, but the U14b lost 4-2 at home to top
side Flitwick Eagles and remain mid table. The U13's recorded their second win 1-0 at home to Flamstead. The U12b lost
2-0 to Crawley and are fourth in table and the `A' side also lost 5-1 at home to Mid Beds Tigers giving them their first
win of the season. The U12 Sat side beat Riverfield 15-0. The U11's won 6-1 at home to Eaton Bray. In the Juniors the U8 teams
were playing each other and finished all even at 1-1. The U9 Blues got thumped 8-1 at Crawley and the whites drew 2-2
at home to Sundon Athletic. The U10 Whites beat Crawley Tigers 2-1 and are third in table but the U10 Blues lost 4-1 against
top of table Crawley Lions.

Not a good
week again. Only three matches in the Junior section. The U10Blues lost at home 1-0 to Bushmead Rovers and stay mid table.
The U9Blues lost 5-1 at Luton Utd who have won three out of three. The U9 Reds picked up their first point at Sundon Athletic
3-3. In the Youth Section The U17's lost 4-0 at AFC Kempston in the League Cup. The U15a team lost 4-1 at home to
Crawley and the U14a team beat Leighton Utd 9-0 and are third in the league. The U14b team lost at home to third placed Sundon
Athletic 2-1. The U13 lost 3-1 at home to Eaton Bray Lions who have won all their games and are top of the table. The U12b
team drew 1-1 at home to Bedford Town and are third in the table. The U12a team won 6-5 at Sundon Pk Rangers and record their
first win, lifting them off the bottom. Have they now turned a corner? The U11's lost 2-1 at Leighton Utd who I think
will win this league and have won five out of five so far.

Not a good week this week! Especially in the Junior section with all teams losing. Starting there
with U8 White who lost at St Josephs 3-1 and the Blues lost to double figure scoring Bushmead Rovers. The people in the know
say that Bushmead will go through the season without losing and scoring freely. One good thing for Borough is that they are
the first to score against them this season doing so twice. In the U9's the Blues also lost to Bushmead Rovers 4-0 at
home and the Reds lost 2-1 at home to St Martins. I take back my first sentence. One of our teams won! The problem is it was
against another of our own teams. The U10 Whites beat our Blues 3-0.In the Youth section the U11's lost
their first game at home to Bedford B but are still second in the table. The U12b have now played three won three with this
6-0 away win at St Josephs. The U13 won 3-1 at Barton Rovers in there bottom of the table clash. The U14b team joined Houghton
Athletic in joint fourth place with their 2-1 home win. The U15a team lostat home Barnfield Colts 5-0 and stay bottom with
no wins, and the U16a team beat Dunstable Town Icknield 3-2 at home and are 3rd from bottom. WON: 4 LOST:

A mixed bag this week. In the Youth section the U16 team bounced back from last
weeks loss with an 8-0 win at Crawley Green to record their first win. The U15's lost 4-1 at home to Leighton Town and
are stuck on the bottom at the moment. The U14's go through to the next round of the County Cup with a 6-0 win at Stotfield.
The U13's lost 3-2 at Flamstead and still await their first win. The U12 Sat side won 7-0 against Stopsley. The U11's did
well at Bedford Town with a 4-0 win and have now won four out of four. Not bothering with league placings in the
Junior section as this week was their first matches after the qualifying, so here we go with the U10Whites beating AFC Luton
2-0 at home and the U10 Blues drawing 2-2 at home to Crawley Green Tigers. The U9 Blues won 2-1 at home to Barnfield Colts
and the U9 Whites drew 3-3 at Crawley Green where Crawley scored in the dying moments of each of the halves which seemed
to go on for ever and ever!!! The U9 Reds lost at Sacred Heart giving Sacred their first win of the season. In the U8's
where we're not allowed to say who won and who lost!!! the Whites lost 3-2 at Crawley Green Comets. Scores on the
Doors are as follows:
WON: 5 DRAW: 2 LOST: 4

Mini Soccer Referees Courses |
|
PARENTS/COACHES
Did you know you can become
a qualified mini soccer Referee without having to sit the full Referee's course?
Bedfordshire F.A. run a one evening course at a cost
of £15 per person, which qualifies you to referee in mini soccer matches. I know, you don’t have to be qualified, but
wouldn’t it be better to be confident that your every decision was the right one according to the rules. Not every Club
can provide a fully qualified Referee to officiate in their matches, but there is no excuse for not having a mini soccer qualified
referee on all of your games.
If you would like to attend one of these courses,
or you are a Club official and want to get someone from your Club qualified, then contact Chris Checketts at the Beds
F A to book or for more information.

Mum's and Dad's
It is strongly recommended that you don’t buy Bladed football boots, as they can cause
knee damage to the wearer and cuts to other players. Some schools and clubs have already banned their use. The wearing of
goal keeper gloves with finger protection is also being looked in to as they can cause crushed knuckles.

friendlies to get them used to competitive matches. Click in to NURSERY page for more Info. We do however need
help! The coaches running it are finding it a strain to make every single Monday, and we need more coaches.Parents,

YOUR COMPANY NAME ON OUR SHIRTS
Would you like to see your company name on one of our
teams' shirts? We are now a FA Charter Standard Award Club, and are looking to improve links with local
schools and businesses. We are non profit making, and as such have to find money for kit and equipment through various means.
We now have three players who have come through the ranks
of Luton Borough F.C. and now have professional contracts with Luton Town.
In years to come we hope that one or two more of our youngsters will follow in their footsteps. We already have a few attending
Professional clubs Schools of Excellence.
Our new under 8 and under 9 teams need a kit now for the
coming season. Just think; in eight or nine years time when one of our players is making their debut for England, and they
show a photo of the team they started in, it will have your company name on the shirt.
If yours is a local or national company and would like
to help us build on our success, whilst also advertising on our shirts, please contact Gordon Attwell on 01582 611944.
