How do I become a Luton Borough Player?
Click in to the Contacts
Page of this site and contact the Manager of the team you would like to play for.
My Child is Mad Keen on Football and wants to play for a team. What do I do?
It depends on their age.
If they are 5-8 years old, contact Gordon Attwell. gordon.attwell@sky.com
If they are older it gets
more difficult. Usually older teams are settled with the number of players they require, and won’t take on any more
because it would cut down the amount of playing time the existing boys get during a match. It’s always worth contacting
the manager of the teams in the required age group though just on the off chance. When teams go from Under 10 to Under 11
is when they start needing more players. At this time they go from 7-A-Side to 11-A-Side.
My Child has only just started school. Can he/she play?
Yes of course. We run a Nursery
on a Monday evening, and kids from reception to year two can come along and enjoy a bit of coaching and playing football.
Click in to Nursery for more information.
Where does the Club play and train?
Our home is at Luton Regional
Sports Centre in Stopsley, Luton. Click in to How to Find Us for details.
When are Matches Played?
Up to the Under
ten age group we play in the Chiltern Junior Sevens League on Saturday mornings. Older kids play in the Chiltern Youth League
which is on Sundays.
What about fees?
Fees are set by each individual
manager, but as a guide you would be looking at something like £2.50 for matches.
What about Training?
Again Training will be set
by the manager, and usually he would pick a day/time when the majority of players can make it, without it clashing with Cubs
or Swimming etc.
How is the Club funded?
The Club is funded by player’s
weekly subscriptions and some sponsoring of Teams. Team Managers have to fund their Kit from the subs taken weekly, unless
they manage to get a sponsor.
How do I become a Sponsor?
If you are already in the
Club, contact your Team Manager. If not, Click in to the Sponsorship page on this site for info and details.
What does `Labor Omnia Vincet' mean on your Club Badge?
