that session completely.
Next Season
I

Fancy being
a manager for a Tournament ? - me and John fancy a break for the Sandy Tournament. We are entering two 5 a-side teams
for this and would like 2 volunteer managers (Parents), or even two parents per team. Please let me know if you are interested

League Match
Crawley Green Foxes 1 Luton Borough Dragons 6
Lovely bright sunny morning, as we faced our last League match of the season. The boys were in good spirits, all looking
forward to the game.
We seemed to struggle at first with the big pitch.CG looked dangerous on the break, and they put us under some pressure.
The boys battled well , the CG number 7 was causing us problems.A CG foward was tripped in the penalty box , which resulted
in a penalty. The number 7 stepped up with a well taken penalty, Sammy dived and made a magnificent save, the loose ball
being hacked to safety.
Against the run of play we took the lead, the impressive CG keeper making a couple of saves, but a parried ball fell
to Conor, who ruthlessly finished close up.
Half - Time 1 - 0
The boys were really starting to play well , passing the ball around, in no time we added a further 2
goals through Clarkie and Rocky.I took the opportunity to give Sammy a run out on the pitch, with Liam going in goal. Ryan
Davis was having a really good game, given the job of marking the dangerous nos 7, he was unable to stop him scoring a cracking
goal, which Liam had no chance with. 3 -1
Liam made a couple of good saves in the space of a few minutes.Hoppy and Clarkie were both really getting
stuck in at the back. Joe was dangerous all game, he was playing some fantastic passes into his team mates.he went on a great
run, playing a killer pass into Rockie, who really had the easiest of tap-ins to make it 4 -1. Rockie returned the favour to
Joe, laying a pass on for Joe to finish close up. 5 -1
Within a minute Joe completed the rout with a another well taken goal.
Full Time 6 - 1
A well deserved victory today, which sets the foundation for next season. The boys really battled well,
keeping Crawley at bay in the first half, and then really turning the screw in the second half. I liked some of the team
work today and unselfish play. Joe laying on a goal for Rocky and vice-versa.
Well done boys............

League Match
Luton Borough Dragons 0 St Josephs 0
Scoreless draw today. If there was going to be a winner, we deserved it.
We couldn't find our way past the SJ keeper, who played a blinder. He made some really good saves, including
a point blank save from a Joe thunderbolt.
We put them under alot of pressure , which SJ resisted fiercley. Sammy was called into action, with an
equally good save, pushing a certain goal to safety, in the last few minutes.
I feel with the season drawing to close, the boys are taking their feet off the accelerator and winding
down
a bit - maybe looking forward to the tournaments that are coming our way.
Even so we were clearly the better team today, but couldn't find our way past the keeper - not for the
want of trying.
The boys came off drained today.I would like to finish the season in style, and notch up a significant
win next week - come on the Dragons !!!

League Match
Sacred Heart Emeralds 0 Luton Borough Dragons 3
Significant match
today, only one point needed to secure sole Runners up spot. We faced a determined
Sacred Heart (SH), who didn't want a repeat scoreline from a few weeks ago.
We started off really brightly with Conor and Rocky up front, who were combining well.Joe and Nathan played well in
Mid Field, who were both winning plenty of ball.Ryan Davis and Hoppy were solid at the back, both picking up their markers. The
breakthrough came from a determined Nathan who burst through the Mid Field resisting a few challenges, and scoring with an
unbeatable shot. 1 - 0
Rocky added to his impressive score record, scoring close up to make it 2- 0. Liam, Alex and Clarkie were now on, and
all got into the swing of the game.Alex was really getting stuck in.
The half ended with a well deserved lead, and possibly we should have scored more.
Half - Time 2 - 0
This half started with us on the back foot.SH were now getting in to our box more. Liam and Hoppy were
very busy as well as our mid fielders. SH won a number of corners, but the blue and white wall kept them out with some fierce
defending. Ryan Davis was now back on to replace an injured Liam and he was putting in some great defensive headers. SH won
a few free kicks and from one, Conor made a great defensive header to stop a certain goal.Sammy was also called into action
and made some good saves to deny SH.
We weathered the storm and were now getting the ball into the SH box.Conor received the ball on
the left flank , and under pressure from two defenders played a lovely left footed cross in to Alex, to score close up, to
make it 3 -0
Joe and Rocky were very lively and causing problems, but couldn't add to the scoreline.
Once again we have achieved Runners Up , with another Presentation Evening to attend.I am proud of every
single boy, and without exception all fully deserve their medals.
We have 2 games to go and would like to win these in style,Joe is stuck on 46 goals and I would love
it if he got to 50 - no pressure Joe !!!
